The Theology of The Institute is rooted in Jesus’ command to love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:35-40 and Jesus’ prayer for unity in the Garden of Gethsemane (John 17:20-23).

With these verses as our guide, our theology guides us to serve the indigenous people of Chiapas as Jesus would do were he here and to work for unity across all cultural divides in this community.

Our Theology is inclusive of all God’s Children no matter who they are or what the circumstances of their lives are. As Jesus called everyone to him and expressed hospitality to even those excluded by others, we seek to do the same in our ministerial context.
